Rep. Rob Menendez, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 8th district, shared updates on his recent activities through social media posts. These updates reflect his engagement with constituents and collaboration with state officials.
On February 6, 2025, Rep. Menendez expressed his enthusiasm for one of his congressional duties: nominating constituents to military academies. He stated, "One of the best parts of being a Member of Congress is nominating constituents to military academies. Today, I was honored to call a high school senior from @weehawkennj and let him know that he's been accepted to @WestPoint_UMSA!"
In another post made shortly after on the same day, he provided information for those interested in military academy nominations by encouraging them to reach out to his District Office. He wrote, "If you're interested in learning more about a military academy nomination, contact our District Office at (201) 309-0301".
The following day, February 7, 2025, Rep. Menendez highlighted a meeting with Governor Phil Murphy and other New Jersey colleagues where they discussed key issues such as affordability and healthcare costs amidst challenges posed by federal policies. He commented on this meeting by stating: "Yesterday, I met with @GovMurphy and my NJ colleagues to tackle the issues that matter—affordability, better transit, and lowering health care costs." He emphasized the importance of these discussions given what he described as "the Trump administration implementing a harmful and divisive agenda."
