Rep. Rob Menendez, representing New Jersey's 8th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently shared his views on several significant national issues through a series of tweets. Menendez succeeded Albio Sires in 2023 and is actively engaging in legislative matters concerning governance, immigration rights, and international aid.

On February 5, 2025, Rep. Menendez expressed his concern over Elon Musk's influence on the federal government under Donald Trump's administration. "Nobody elected Elon Musk yet Donald Trump has handed him the keys to the federal government. That’s unacceptable," he stated, adding that he joined colleagues at the Treasury Department to exercise oversight authority.

In another tweet on February 5, 2025, Menendez highlighted ongoing ICE raids across the nation and emphasized the importance of understanding legal rights irrespective of immigration status. He urged people to "Access our Know Your Rights flyer in 12 languages here", providing resources for legal protections.

Later that day, Menendez addressed concerns about the potential shutdown of USAID and its implications for national security and global influence. He urged Secretary Rubio to reconsider such actions by stating "Shutting down USAID jeopardizes our national security and undermines our global influence." Menendez advocates for maintaining USAID's mission to enhance America's global standing.
