Rep. Rob Menendez, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 8th district since 2023, recently shared updates on his professional endeavors and policy concerns via social media. Born in Hudson County, New Jersey, Menendez is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Rutgers University-Newark.

On November 25, 2024, Rep. Menendez expressed gratitude for his new role within the Hispanic Caucus: "Thank you for the trust and support! I’m looking forward to serving as @HispanicCaucus' Vice Chair of Policy next session and working to push forward policies that make a difference for our communities."

Later that day, he addressed concerns regarding congestion pricing plans affecting commuters between New York and New Jersey: "Congestion pricing is back in the news, and New York’s revised plan still doesn’t provide a clear benefit for @NJgov commuters & families. We need a plan that works for both states."

Additionally, Menendez highlighted potential impacts on infrastructure projects due to political conflicts involving the Port Authority: "Next, as a former PANYNJ commissioner, it’s important that the Port Authority not be caught in the middle of this battle.
