Hudson County’s 108 coaches earned an average salary of $56,239 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the fifth highest average salary per county earned by coaches at New Jersey post-secondary schools during 2022.

Hudson County is home to three post-secondary schools that paid coaches during 2022. Among them, Stevens Institute of Technology stood out with the highest average coaching salary of $63,788.

Male coaches of men's teams received $64,493 on average in Hudson County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $52,619.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
