On April 4, 2025, Menendez tweeted about receiving concerned inquiries related to the Uniting For Ukraine program. In a statement, he noted: "Our team has received concerned inquiries regarding the status of the Uniting For Ukraine program. We believe the emails in question were sent by accident and will provide all pertinent updates. If you have ANY questions or receive ANY communication from DHS, please contact us at..."
Later that day, Menendez provided an update confirming communication errors by the Department of Homeland Security regarding the program. The congressman shared, "The Department of Homeland Security has confirmed that email notices regarding the Uniting for Ukraine program were sent in error. If you have further questions or concerns regarding immigration status, our office can help. Please call us at (201) 309-0301 to speak with a member."
On April 5, 2025, Menendez commented on recent Senate proceedings where Republican senators voted against certain legislative measures. He critiqued the decision, stating, "Last night, Senate GOP had the chance to vote with Dems in support of: Protecting Medicaid Preventing another SignalGate Stopping Trump’s tariffs Instead, they voted against these commonsense measures. And we can expect the same from the House GOP this week."
