The Bayonne Division of Recreation announced that the County of Hudson will sponsor a boat trip for senior citizens on Friday, June 30th, 2023, courtesy of Hudson County Executive Tom DeGise, Freeholder Ken Kopacz of Bayonne, and the other members of Hudson County Board of Chosen Freeholders.
Limited numbers of tickets are available for the excursion in each Hudson County municipality.
Open to Bayonne residents, ages 60 and older, that are mobile and do not require wheelchair assistance or 4 wheeled walkers. (Aides, escorts and children are not permitted.)
There will be a lottery system of those registered to attend the boat trip.
Registration DATES/TIMES:
Tuesday, June 13th , Wednesday, June 14th, from 10:00am to 12:00pm, at City Hall, ONLY.
You cannot register at any other time.
Lottery to take place Thursday, June 17th.
Those chosen through the lottery will be notified the week of June 19th
Bayonne residents ONLY.
You must be 60 years and older to register for the lottery.
80 tickets are available; each resident may receive two tickets via lottery.
Only one entry per household.
GUESTS of those chosen by lottery MUST be a Bayonne resident and 60 years of age and older.
Proof of age and Bayonne residency must be presented at the time of registration.
You cannot register without providing proof of residency.
NO EXCEPTIONS.
Buses will meet at Veterans Stadium and transport seniors to Weehawken and back to Bayonne after the cruise.
Buses should be back in Bayonne by 3:30 p.m.
The Cruise will leave 1500 Harbor Boulevard in Weehawken at 12:00pm on June 30th, boarding at 11:30am.
The cruise will last approximately two hours after it departs from Weehawken.
