Mayor Jimmy Davis presented the Bayonne High School Latin Club with a proclamation in honor of Rome’s birthday. Pictured left to right: Faculty Advisor Craig Jacobs, Anny Zhou, Maryam Elhelw, Mera Makar, Co-Consul John Makar, Mehrael Nagib, Co-Consul Nicholas Maharaj, Pro-Consul Mary Mungroo, and Mayor Davis. The Latin Club seeks to preserve the classical heritage of ancient Rome and Greece. The group takes part state and national competitions and conventions, and in local community service projects.
