On February 9, 2025, Rep. Menendez tweeted: “Our office has heard from so many of you who are concerned about the actions taken by Trump, DOGE, and Elon Musk over the past few weeks. We get it and this is not normal. Here’s how we are fighting back “.
In another tweet on the same day, he stated: “I also joined letters with my colleagues to demand answers from the Administration. We know that Trump wants to flood the zone with actions to confuse and distract us but he has a constitutional responsibility to inform us of how these actions impact the American people.”
Additionally, Rep. Menendez shared his involvement in direct action outside a government department: “Dozens more of us attempted to do the same at the Treasury Department and when we were turned away, we rallied outside with thousands of concerned citizens. We’ll keep this up for as long as we have to.”
