Rep. Rob Menendez, U.S. Congressman representing New Jersey’s 8th district since 2023, has used his social media platform to promote local events and legislative initiatives, as well as to raise awareness about public health issues.
On September 21, 2025, Menendez announced an upcoming job event for Hudson County residents: “Get ready, @HudCoTweet! Our Career Fair is only a month away! We’ve partnered with 25+ businesses of all sizes and industries to share job opportunities. Open to professionals at every level.”
The following day, on September 22, he addressed the challenges faced by parents in public spaces: “Every parent has a diaper horror story. That’s why we introduced legislation that would make it easier for small businesses to install diaper changing stations in their public restrooms, increasing parents’ access to family-friendly amenities in their communities.”
Later that same day, Menendez highlighted the importance of health advocacy during Prostate Cancer Awareness Month: “We must do more to raise awareness of the risks of prostate cancer — because early detection can save lives. Proud to join @RepTroyCarter in the #MensHealthCaucus efforts to recognize this month as #ProstateCancerAwarenessMonth.”
Rob Menendez was born in Hudson County, New Jersey in 1985 and currently resides in Jersey City. He succeeded Albio Sires as representative for New Jersey’s 8th District after the 2022 election cycle. Menendez holds a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a JD from Rutgers University-Newark.
