Rep. Rob Menendez, U.S. Congressman representing New Jersey’s 8th district since 2023, recently shared updates and reflections on community engagement and immigration policy through a series of posts on his official social media account.
On February 7, 2026, Menendez informed constituents in Guttenberg about congressional outreach efforts: “Guttenberg – Congress is coming to your corner to help with casework, passports, and anything else you need from a federal agency. We hope to see you there!”
Two days later, on February 9, he commented on the importance of legacy and community following a musical performance: “From music to government, it’s all about what we leave the next generation. Incredible halftime show and a beautiful reminder of what community looks like.”
Later that same day, Menendez highlighted the story of Mia Valentina Paz Faria—a seven-year-old from Austin detained for over seventy days—criticizing previous administration policies: “Mia Valentina Paz Faria, a 7-year-old from Austin who has been detained for over 70 days wrote, ‘I don’t want to be in this place I want to go to my school.’ This was never about the ‘worst of the worst’ – it was always about an extreme and cruel strategy by Trump and Stephen”.
Rob Menendez assumed office after replacing Albio Sires in 2023 as representative for New Jersey’s 8th District. Born in Hudson County in 1985 and currently residing in Jersey City, Menendez holds degrees from both the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (BA) and Rutgers University-Newark (JD).
