Rep. Rob Menendez, who represents New Jersey’s 8th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on April 15, 2026, highlighting community achievements and celebrations within his district.
In one post dated April 15, Menendez wrote about honoring a fellow lawmaker: “What an honor and privilege to celebrate my friend & North Star, @RepBonnie. It has been an incredible honor to work alongside such a trailblazer in Congress. Thank you to @CAWP_RU for hosting us — New Jersey is undoubtedly better because of @RepBonnie.”
Later that day, he recognized Arab American Heritage Month and the contributions of Arab Americans in New Jersey: “This #ArabAmericanHeritageMonth and every month, we’re celebrating the diverse contributions made by Arab Americans across our communities and beyond. We are stronger because of all of our Arab communities who call New Jersey home.”
In another tweet posted the same evening, Menendez marked the arrival of a new NJ TRANSIT fleet in Kearny: “Celebrating a new @NJTRANSIT fleet in Kearny Proud to see a modernized @NJTRANSIT fleet in our community today thanks in part to federal funding we advocated for—making public transit more reliable and accessible for everyone.”
Rob Menendez began serving as the representative for New Jersey’s 8th district after succeeding Albio Sires in 2023. Born in Hudson County in 1985, Menendez resides in Jersey City. He holds a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2008) and earned his JD from Rutgers University-Newark in 2011.
