Rep. Rob Menendez, U.S. Congressman representing New Jersey’s 8th district since 2023, recently used his social media platform to highlight legislative priorities and constituent services in a series of posts.

On June 1, 2026, Menendez shared news of a meeting with Computer4People, stating, “Meeting with @Computer4People to discuss how we can partner in Congress to expand reliable internet and digital literacy training.”

Later that day, he marked the start of Pride Month by affirming his support for LGBTQ+ constituents and colleagues. In his post, Menendez wrote, “Happy #PrideMonth to the 8th District and beyond! As a member of the @EqualityCaucus, I will always fight to uplift our LGBTQ+ community, ensuring everyone can proudly and freely be their authentic self.” This message reflects his role as a member of the Equality Caucus.

On June 2, Menendez highlighted constituent services by sharing an example involving assistance provided to a Jersey City resident facing issues with the IRS: ” Casework Highlight A @JerseyCity resident reached out for help with the IRS after a large check for their business was stolen and hadn’t been reissued after two years. Our casework team was able to quickly reach out to the IRS, and the check was reissued in about a”.

Menendez has served in Congress since replacing Albio Sires in 2023. Born in Hudson County in 1985, he currently resides in Jersey City. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BA in 2008 and earned a JD from Rutgers University-Newark in 2011.
