Rep. Rob Menendez, who represents New Jersey’s 8th district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed a range of issues through his social media posts, including state identification readiness, political unity in the face of national challenges, and concerns about internet access for students and seniors.
On September 4, 2025, Menendez thanked the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (NJ_MVC) for its collaboration on REAL ID compliance. He wrote: “Thanks to @NJ_MVC for partnering with us to ensure that New Jerseyans are REAL ID ready! Our office will keep you updated on future appointments. Make sure to subscribe to our newsletter: https://t.co/LRwSKP1w7J https://t.co/x6cuEZZ6BK”.
Later that day, Menendez discussed recent political developments during an appearance on Zerlina Maxwell’s program. In his post he stated: “Great speaking with @ZerlinaMornings about the current state of the Trump Administration & how we all must be in this fight – together. It will take all of us to recover & build towards a better future but I believe with every fiber of my being that is exactly what we will do.”
On September 5, 2025, Menendez criticized a Federal Communications Commission decision regarding internet connectivity on school buses. He posted: “The FCC just voted to strip access to hotspots and Wi-Fi on school busses for millions of Americans without reliable home internet. Just as school begins, Republicans are cutting off the connectivity students and seniors depend on—while doing NOTHING to lower broadband costs in”.
