On December 8, 2024, Rep. Menendez commemorated Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day by acknowledging the sacrifice of service members and civilians. He stated: “On Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, we remember and mourn the 2,403 service-members and civilians who died. 83 years later, we will never forget the sacrifices of those from New Jersey and across the nation who served and made the ultimate sacrifice that day.”
Later that day, he addressed a local tragedy affecting Hudson Catholic High School.
