On April 2, 2025, Menendez addressed attacks on the federal judiciary, stating, “In this moment, we cannot be silent nor accept attacks on the federal judiciary as something normal. That’s why I went to the House Floor to uplift the @ABAesq’s work and encourage others to take action.”
Later that day, Menendez invited constituents to join a social media discussion, announcing, “Be sure to join me and @FrankPallone on Instagram live TOMORROW at 9:45 am to discuss the Republican cuts to Medicaid and how we’re fighting back!” This discussion aimed to address proposed cuts to Medicaid programs.
On April 3, 2025, Menendez criticized former President Donald Trump’s tariff strategy, stating, “Tariffs are a strategic tool that can be used by any administration to achieve certain goals. What Trump is doing is reckless and will further erode America’s standing in the world and credibility with all of our allies.”
