On February 15, 2026, Menendez criticized the conduct of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), writing, “Conducting a raid in front of dozens of children is dangerous, reckless and emblematic of what ICE has been doing across our country. On February 16, 2026, Menendez addressed Speaker Johnson regarding rhetoric within Congress: “This is what it looks like when Islamophobia and outrage are the only two items on your political agenda. @SpeakerJohnson, a member of your conference is consistently making hateful, dangerous statements. Rob Menendez was born in Hudson County, New Jersey in 1985 and currently resides in Jersey City. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2008 and received his law degree from Rutgers University-Newark in 2011.
