Rep. Rob Menendez, U.S. Congressman representing New Jersey’s 8th district since 2023, has recently addressed a range of issues in a series of posts on his official Twitter account.

On February 9, 2026, Menendez criticized former President Donald Trump’s actions regarding election processes, stating: “With everything our country is facing right now, Trump’s continued obsession with interfering in elections is dangerous and cannot be ignored. Trump knows his Administration is failing the American people, and he knows Republicans would lose if they had to compete in a fair”.

The following day, Menendez marked the anniversary of a local news outlet with another post. On February 10, 2026, he wrote: ” Celebrating @hudpost’s 10th Anniversary at Art House JC I am grateful for HudPost not just covering the community I’ve always called home but uplifting our neighbors and small businesses. I look forward to working together to serve @HudCoTweet & everyone who calls it”.

Later that same day, Menendez highlighted his participation in an Energy and Commerce Committee hearing focused on preparations for the upcoming FIFA World Cup in New Jersey. He posted: “Important @EnergyCommerce hearing where we discussed coordination & security plans for @NJGov ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Ensuring the safety of fans, workers, & players is our top priority. PS: sorry in advance to all Jets & Giants fans “.

Rob Menendez was born in Hudson County, New Jersey in 1985 and currently resides in Jersey City. He succeeded Albio Sires as representative for New Jersey’s 8th District beginning in 2023. Menendez holds a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2008) and a JD from Rutgers University-Newark (2011).
