Rep. Rob Menendez, U.S. Congressman representing New Jersey’s 8th district since 2023, shared updates on community health and civic engagement in a series of posts on April 10, 2026.

In a post from April 10, Menendez highlighted the importance of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), stating, “AEDs can dramatically improve outcomes during a cardiac emergency. Such an honor to stand with the Katz family ahead of Sarah’s birthday to celebrate the opening of another SaveStation in @JerseyCity.”

Later that day, he addressed election participation efforts, writing, “We should be enhancing people’s ability to participate in our elections, not making it harder. That’s why I joined @RepNellie and my NJ colleagues to demand that USPS reject the Admin’s attempt to control mail-in voting. We will always stand for free and fair elections.”

Menendez also marked the anniversary of a local tragedy: “One year ago, our community was shaken by a tragic helicopter crash on the Hudson that claimed six lives. Since then, we’ve taken an all-hands approach with our local and state partners to find solutions that put the safety of our communities first.”

Rob Menendez was born in Hudson County in 1985 and currently resides in Jersey City. He holds degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Rutgers University-Newark.
