Rep. Rob Menendez, who represents New Jersey’s 8th district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on community engagement and commemorative messages in a series of posts between April 14 and April 15, 2026.

On April 14, Menendez visited the Institute of Music for Children (IMC) in Elizabeth. In his post he wrote: “@Instituteomusic in Elizabeth

Stopped by the IMC to see how they are helping our youth achieve their full potential through music and mentorship. Proud to support their mission and can’t wait to see their new space take shape. Thanks for the tunes! https://t.co/Hb10SocQPo” (April 14, 2026).

Later that day, Menendez extended holiday greetings to Sikh constituents: “Wishing a very happy Vaisakhi to our Sikh community!

As we celebrate the New Year and the harvest festival, may your day be filled with joy, gratitude, and the spirit of renewal. ” (April 14, 2026).

On April 15, Menendez marked Yom HaShoah with a message on remembrance and vigilance against antisemitism: “On #YomHaShoah, we honor the memory of the six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust.

We must continue to combat antisemitism wherever we see it and vow to #NeverAgain allow such hatred to take root or become normalized.” (April 15, 2026).

Rob Menendez has represented New Jersey’s 8th District since succeeding Albio Sires in Congress in 2023. He was born in Hudson County in 1985 and resides in Jersey City. His academic background includes a BA from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2008) and a JD from Rutgers University-Newark (2011).
