Rep. Rob Menendez, who has represented New Jersey’s 8th district in the U.S. Congress since 2023, recently posted a series of messages on his official X account reflecting on community celebrations and ongoing policy efforts.
On September 22, 2025, Menendez highlighted his participation in a local cultural event by stating: “@CityofNewarkNJ 64th Annual Puerto Rican Day Parade Always proud to celebrate a culture that adds so much to our community and enriches our lives every day.”
Later that same day, he addressed environmental policy, posting: “We must use every tool available to tackle the climate crisis and protect our environment. That’s why I joined 100+ of my colleagues in urging the @EPA to abandon their plans to repeal vehicle emission rules — because reducing emissions paves the way for a more sustainable” (September 22, 2025).
In another post published on September 22, Menendez discussed economic development and technology: “We must all fight to build a cleaner economy, harness new technology like AI, and ensure no community is left behind. Honored to speak with @CHCI last week on how we’ll make it happen – together.”
Rob Menendez was born in Hudson County, New Jersey in 1985 and currently resides in Jersey City. He succeeded Albio Sires as representative of New Jersey’s 8th district beginning in 2023. Menendez graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BA in 2008 and earned his JD from Rutgers University-Newark in 2011.
