Red Bull New York will face off against rivals New York City FC in the Round of 16 of the 2026 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup at Sports Illustrated Stadium on April 29.

The match is scheduled for a 7 PM ET kickoff, with coverage available on Paramount+ and Red Bulls Radio through the Red Bull New York app and website. The event marks another chapter in the ongoing rivalry between the two teams, with both clubs aiming to advance further in this national competition.

Red Bull New York secured their place in this round after a victory over Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, winning 3-1 on April 15. Forward Julian Hall scored twice during that match, bringing his total to seven goals across all competitions. Team captain Emil Forsberg also contributed with a goal and an assist, reaching three career goal contributions in U.S. Open Cup play.

According to club records, Red Bull New York has progressed past their first Open Cup match for three consecutive tournaments and maintains a strong home record since 2010, with only one loss at home during U.S. Open Cup matches. At Sports Illustrated Stadium specifically, they are unbeaten with eleven wins and four draws.
