Red Bull New York will conclude their two-match homestand with a match against rivals New York City FC on May 16 at Sports Illustrated Stadium.
The game is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time, with coverage available in English and Spanish on Apple TV, and in English on Red Bulls Radio via the Red Bull New York app and website. The broadcast team for Apple TV includes Steve Cangialosi and Danny Higginbotham for the English side, while Bruno Vain and Andres Agulla will cover the Spanish side. Red Bulls Radio’s coverage begins at 7 p.m. with Countdown to Kickoff hosted by Matt Harmon and Steve Jolley.
This match marks the 28th regular season meeting between Red Bull New York and New York City FC. NYCFC currently holds a slight advantage in the series with a record of 12 wins, 11 losses, and four draws. However, Red Bull New York has been strong at home against NYCFC across all competitions, holding a record of twelve wins, five losses, and two draws.
Red Bull New York comes into this fixture after securing a 3-2 win over Columbus Crew earlier in the week at Sports Illustrated Stadium. Midfielder Cade Cowell recorded his first career multi-assist game during that match and is now tied for seventh place in assists within the Eastern Conference this season. Forward Julian Hall scored his first career hat trick in that same victory over Columbus Crew, becoming the youngest player in Major League Soccer history to achieve this feat at eighteen years and fifty days old. Hall now has nine goals this season—tied for fourth-most in MLS—and has scored in back-to-back matches against NYCFC held at Sports Illustrated Stadium.
After facing NYCFC on Saturday night, Red Bull New York will travel to play Sporting Kansas City at Children’s Mercy Park on May 23.
