This matchup is notable for several player achievements. Emil Forsberg has contributed to five goals in his last five matches across all competitions against Columbus. Forsberg also has scored three goals in three games played at Sports Illustrated Stadium against the Crew and recently recorded his twentieth career Major League Soccer assist during New York’s win over Chicago Fire FC on May 9. He is now one of seven players in franchise history to reach both twenty or more MLS goals and assists while playing for Red Bulls.
Jorge Ruvalcaba stands out as well, ranking second in Major League Soccer with a total of two hundred fifteen sprints so far this season. Historically, Red Bulls have posted twenty-three wins, fifteen losses, and seven draws at home across all competitions when facing the Crew.
