Red Bull New York announced on April 4 that forward Roald Mitchell has been selected for the Trinidad and Tobago National Team for upcoming international friendlies in March.

Mitchell, who is currently in his third season with Red Bull New York, will join the national squad as they prepare to face Venezuela on March 27 and Gabon on March 30 during the FIFA International window.

This season, Mitchell has made one appearance for Red Bull New York’s main team and three appearances for Red Bull New York II, where he scored two goals and provided one assist. In the previous year, he netted nine goals in 15 MLS NEXT Pro matches, including a record-setting five goals during the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs—the most by any player in a single postseason run in league history.

The call-up marks Mitchell’s second time being named to a senior Trinidad and Tobago roster. He debuted for the national team in November 2025 against Jamaica, coming off the bench to play 23 minutes in a match that ended in a draw. He also previously participated with Trinidad and Tobago’s under-20 camp.

Mitchell’s continued involvement with both club and country highlights his development as a professional player. The upcoming friendlies provide another opportunity for him to gain experience at the international level.
