Pratt Charles wins men’s 400m at NYU D3 Invitational for NJCU

The New Jersey City University (NJCU) men’s and women’s track and field teams competed at the New York University (NYU) D3 Invitational on Saturday, February 14 in New York.

In the women’s events, Raven Orange finished eighth in the 60-meter finals with a time of 8.16 seconds. Tonna Ogina secured fifth place in the long jump, reaching a distance of 5.07 meters.

On the men’s side, Pratt Charles achieved first place in the 400-meter race with a time of 50.16 seconds. Thad Liddell placed twentieth in the 60-meter dash, finishing in 7.82 seconds, followed closely by Dequan Brown at 7.86 seconds.

Isaiah Ramiirez finished twenty-seventh in the 200-meter event with a time of 23.18 seconds. In the 800-meter run, Goncalo Carvalho took twenty-first place with a time of 2:02.49. Peter Chrysler completed the mile race in fifty-second place, recording a time of 5:47.21.

In field events for men, David Dewberry finished eleventh in the long jump with a leap of 6.16 meters, while Johnair Gonzalez placed twenty-second with a distance of 5.69 meters.
