Phil Kramer has been recognized as the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Pitcher of the Week for his performance against Hood College. This is the first time Kramer, who hails from Hazlet, N.J., has received this honor.

Kramer recorded a personal best by striking out 12 batters over seven innings. He allowed only three hits and one walk while throwing 82 pitches, helping New Jersey City University (NJCU) secure an 8-1 win over Hood College. During the week, NJCU’s baseball team had a record of one win, one loss, and one tie. The tie occurred after ten innings against Wilson due to darkness, and the loss came in their season opener against Gettysburg.

“Phil Kramer (Hazlet, N.J./Raritan) was named New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Pitcher of the Week, the first of his career, for his dominant performance against Hood College,” according to Tom Krychkowski, Assistant Athletic Director for Communications & Marketing.
