On Sunday, March 9, former James J. Ferris High School standout Jacob Ruiz’s current college team, the St. John’s Red Storm, won 8-7 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the NJIT Highlanders.
The game took place at Jack Kaiser Stadium. This was their third matchup against the Highlanders this season.
The Red Storm’s next game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 11 at 3 p.m. at Joe Nathan Field against Stony Brook Seawolves.
