NJCU Gothic Knights prepare for busy week across multiple sports

The New Jersey City University (NJCU) Gothic Knights are preparing for a busy week with 10 athletic events scheduled from March 3 to March 8. The lineup includes competitions in baseball, track and field, women’s wrestling, softball, and men’s volleyball.

Baseball will begin the week on Wednesday, March 4, as NJCU faces the University of Mount Saint Vincent at Maritime College in Throggs Neck, New York.

On Thursday, March 5, the track and field team will compete at the AARTFC Indoor Championships at The Armory in New York City. Men’s volleyball is also set to play against the City College of New York at Nat Holman Gymnasium that evening.

Friday’s schedule features continued participation by track and field athletes at the AARTFC Indoor Championships. Women’s wrestling will travel to Coralville, Iowa for NCAA Nationals at XTream Arena. Women’s wrestling continues its competition on Saturday morning in Iowa. Softball opens its season on Saturday with games against Hilbert College and Delaware Valley University as part of the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic in Little River, South Carolina. Men’s volleyball hosts two matches on Saturday: one against York College (NY) at 11:00 a.m., followed by a game versus City College of New York at 3:00 p.m., both held at John J. The softball team continues its tournament play on Sunday with matchups against King’s College (Pa.) and Penn State University Altoona.
