NJCU Gothic Knights announce athletics schedule for first week of December

The New Jersey City University (NJCU) Gothic Knights are preparing for a full schedule of athletic events from December 1 to December 7. The week features nine competitions across several sports, including women’s and men’s basketball, wrestling, and track and field.

The action begins on Monday, December 1, with the women’s basketball team traveling to face Division I Stony Brook University at Stony Brook Arena in New York. Tickets for this game are available through the Stony Brook Athletics website.

On Wednesday, December 3, NJCU will host a doubleheader against Rutgers-Newark University at the John J. Moore Athletics & Fitness Center in Jersey City. The women’s basketball game is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., followed by the men’s basketball matchup at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for both games can be purchased online.

Men’s wrestling returns to home competition on Thursday, December 4, when NJCU faces Keystone College at the John J. Moore Athletics & Fitness Center at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available via the NJCU ticketing portal.

Saturday brings multiple events for NJCU athletes. The track and field teams will compete at Wesleyan University’s Bacon Field House in Connecticut starting at 10:00 a.m. At the same time, women’s wrestling will participate in the New Standard Corporation Invitational hosted by York College in Pennsylvania.

Also on Saturday, men’s basketball travels to Rowan University for a game at Esbjornson Gymnasium in Glassboro, N.J., beginning at 1:00 p.m., with tickets accessible through Rowan’s event site. The women’s basketball team follows with their own contest against Rowan University at 3:00 p.m., also held at Esbjornson Gymnasium.

The week concludes on Sunday, December 7, as men’s wrestling competes in the Bob Quade Cyclone Open at John M. Reeves Student Recreation Center in Hackettstown, N.J.
