NJCU baseball season opener postponed due to blizzard; new date set

The start of the 2026 baseball season for New Jersey City University has been delayed due to blizzard conditions in the area. The opener against FDU-Florham, originally set for Tuesday, February 24, will now take place on Thursday, March 12 at FDU-Florham. The game is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.

As a result of this postponement, the Gothic Knights are set to begin their season on Saturday, February 28. They will travel to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, for a doubleheader against Gettysburg College. The first game is scheduled for 11:30 a.m., with the second game following at 2:30 p.m.
