NJCU athletics schedules 11 events for April 13-19, including NCAA volleyball tournament

New Jersey City University announced on April 13 that its Gothic Knights teams will participate in 11 athletic events during the week of April 13 to April 19. The schedule features men’s volleyball competing in the NCAA Tournament, New Jersey Athletic Conference baseball and softball games at the Thomas M. Gerrity Athletic Complex, and track and field competitions on the road.

The upcoming events highlight a busy week for NJCU Athletics as student-athletes compete both at home and away. The university said all event coverage is available throughout the season at www.NJCUGothicKnights.com/coverage.

Scheduled contests include baseball against Stevens Institute of Technology on Tuesday, April 14 at Dobbelaar Baseball Field in Hoboken, while softball will host Montclair State University for a doubleheader at the Thomas M. Gerrity Athletic Complex in Jersey City that same day. On Thursday, April 16, baseball travels to Montclair State University’s Yogi Berra Stadium, and men’s volleyball faces Buffalo State University in Springfield College’s facility in Massachusetts.

Track and field athletes are set to compete Friday and Saturday at TowneBank Stadium during the New Captains Classic & Combined Events meet in Newport News, Virginia. Also on Friday afternoon, NJCU hosts Montclair State University for a baseball game at their home complex. Saturday’s schedule includes a doubleheader baseball matchup against TCNJ at George Ackerman Park in Ewing and softball traveling to Rutgers University-Newark for two games.
