Five student-athletes from New Jersey City University (NJCU) have been named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District teams for men’s and women’s soccer. The announcement was made by CSC on Tuesday.

Kevin Alves represented the men’s soccer team, earning Academic All-District honors for the second consecutive year. Alves played a key role in the starting lineup and ranked fifth on his team with nine points, including a team-high five assists.

On the women’s side, four players received recognition: Natalia Jaramillo, Arianna Chavez, Gineth Arias-Martinez, and Sophia Veloso. Jaramillo received her second CSC All-Academic award after finishing the season with two assists. Chavez contributed three assists over 1,129 minutes of play. Arias-Martinez finished second in team points with 16, scoring five goals and recording six assists—the most on her team. Veloso played 1,230 minutes during the season and scored one goal.
