New Jersey residents paid $13,564 to attend the public four-year university this year, which is $1,508 less than the $15,072 charged in the 2021-22 academic year.
Non-resident students faced tuition costs 78.1% higher than those of in-state students in 2022-23, amounting to $24,163. This represented a 4.7% reduction from the previous year’s $25,364.
Approximately 95% of the undergraduate student body at the university are New Jersey residents. Students from other states make up about 4%, while international students account for roughly 1%.
Data indicates that 93% of full-time undergraduates who enrolled at New Jersey City University in 2022-23 received some form of financial aid. Among them, 691 students were awarded grants or scholarships totaling $9.1 million, and 227 students borrowed over $1.7 million in student loans.
Across the entire undergraduate population, 3,893 students received grants or scholarships amounting to $48.7 million. Additionally, 1,584 students took out federal student loans totaling $12.1 million.
