There were two gas stations in cities across Hudson County selling diesel at the lowest price of $3.99 per gallon in the week ending Mar. 30, according to GasBuddy.com.

The average cost of diesel in cities within Hudson County was $4.27 per gallon.

Of the 40 gas stations in cities within Hudson County, five offer diesel.

The average price of diesel in New Jersey was $3.99, compared to $4.01 the week before.

Experts predict gasoline prices could drop below $3 this year before rebounding closer to $4 by year’s end. GasBuddy forecasted a national average of $3.38 per gallon, down from $3.51. An outlook published in late 2023 suggests that gas rates will continue to fall in 2024.
