Bolivia and Scotland will face each other for the first time at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey, on June 6 as part of the Road to 26 series, according to an April 13 announcement. The match is scheduled for a 4 p.m. Eastern Time kickoff.
The game is part of a broader initiative called Road to 26, which aims to bring elite national soccer teams to major venues across the United States ahead of the FIFA World Cup. Organizers say this series provides fans with opportunities to see international teams compete in American stadiums.
Tickets for the Bolivia vs. Scotland match will go on sale starting April 15 at 10 a.m. ET, with pre-sale registration available through RoadTo26.com. Scotland secured its place in the upcoming FIFA World Cup by topping its UEFA qualifying group and returns to the tournament for the first time since participating in group matches against Brazil, Norway, and Morocco in 1998. Bolivia last appeared at a World Cup in 1994 when it played Spain, South Korea, and defending champion Germany.
Sports Illustrated Stadium serves as home for Red Bull New York of Major League Soccer and NY/NJ Gotham FC from the National Women’s Soccer League. Since opening in 2010, it has hosted various events including MLS All-Star Games and major international club friendlies as well as national team matches such as the SheBelieves Cup final.
Road to 26 is co-promoted by Unified Events, Florida Citrus Sports (FCS), Pitch International, and Lions Sports & Media. The event schedule also includes Brazil vs. Egypt at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland on June 6 following the Bolivia-Scotland match.
