Bayonne High School Marching Band Honored at City Hall

Mayor Jimmy Davis presented a proclamation to the members of the championship-winning Bayonne High School Marching Band. The group posed on both the City Hall balcony and in front of the City Hall ground floor. The band placed 1st at all six Regular Season US Bands Competitions and became US Bands Group 1A NJ State Champions in 2022.  The Bayonne High School Marching Band also won awards for Best Visual, Best Overall Effect, and Best Percussion at the State Championships. The BHS Marching Band was also designated the US Bands Group 1A National Championship Runner-Ups.  The BHS Marching Ban also won awards for Best Overall Effect and Best Percussion.  In addition to the student musicians, among those in the photos are Samantha Hitchell-Herskowitz (Director of Bands, Choirs, and The Bee’s Knees), Mayor Davis, and City Council Members At-Large Juan Perez and Loyad Booker.  Various graduating seniors will be continuing their studies in the performing arts in college at Montclair State University and Temple University.
