For the first quarter of 2026, ownership of Alaris Health at Belgrove was recorded as Sub Acute Rehabilitation Center at Kearny, LLC and Avery Eisenreich, according to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The facility, based in Hudson County, has been under this ownership since Dec. 9, 2010.
Alaris Health at Belgrove operates as a for-profit institution.
During the reported period, the facility earned a CMS overall rating of one, placing it below the average New Jersey nursing home score of 3.4. The CMS rating system measures nursing homes on key factors including outcomes of health inspections, staffing adequacy, and care quality for residents.
Records indicate Alaris Health at Belgrove served an average daily census of 101 residents in the first quarter of 2026, out of 120 beds. The facility does not currently maintain hospital-based status.
Also in that quarter, Alaris Health at Belgrove incurred $25,635 in fines as a result of one penalty.
Hudson County, New Jersey, had a total of 13 for-profit nursing homes at that time.
U.S. Census Bureau estimates show that the population of Americans ages 65 and up is continuing to rise while younger groups decrease. From 2020 through 2024, older adults grew by 13% whereas those under 18 declined by 1.7%. The older population in the U.S. has surged over the past century, climbing from 4.9 million in 1920 to more than 61 million by 2024.
Research from 2021 indicates that almost half of this demographic—around 28 million people—are anticipated to need long-term services and support, with projections suggesting over one-third may require care in a nursing facility.
“Living a long life is something that many of us want and could get,” said Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance. “But when we live a long life, the chances of us needing long-term care increase exponentially. But when you need that type of care, there are limited options.”
