There was a single gas station in cities across Hudson County selling midgrade gas at the lowest price of $3.75 per gallon in the week ending May 18, according to GasBuddy.com.

The average cost of midgrade gas in cities within Hudson County was $4.19 per gallon.

Of the 37 gas stations in cities within Hudson County, five offer midgrade gas.

The average price of midgrade gas in New Jersey was $3.98, compared to $4.03 the week before.

Experts predict gasoline prices could drop below $3 this year before rebounding closer to $4 by year’s end. GasBuddy forecasted a national average of $3.38 per gallon, down from $3.51. An outlook published in late 2023 suggests that gas rates will continue to fall in 2024.
