There was one gas station in cities across Hudson County selling midgrade gas at the lowest price of $3.64 per gallon in the week ending July 29, according to GasBuddy.com.

The average cost of midgrade gas in cities within Hudson County was $4.11 per gallon.

There are 83 gas stations in cities within Hudson County.

The average price of midgrade gas in New Jersey was $4.04.

The U.S. government missed the mark when forecasting gas prices for 2022. A short-term outlook published early in 2022 claimed gas rates would fall, when in fact gas rates rose significantly.

The outlook once again suggested that prices would fall in 2023.
